Some boiler faults can wait for a regular-hours appointment. These should not.
No Heat or Hot Water in Cold Weather
A failed boiler can mean losing heat and hot water at the same time. Near or below freezing, that risks frozen pipes, water damage and unsafe indoor temperatures.
Active Leak or Rapid Pressure Loss
Water pooling under the boiler or a gauge that keeps dropping points to a leak that can damage the system and your home. If water is actively leaking, switch the boiler off and call.

Why is my boiler losing pressure?
Pressure loss is often caused by a water leak somewhere in the system, a pressure relief valve that is releasing water, a failed expansion tank or air in the system. If the pressure repeatedly falls below the normal range for your boiler or you need frequent top-ups, there is an underlying fault that should be diagnosed. Repeatedly topping up the system without finding the cause can introduce additional problems.
